Multiplex cables consist of several conductors (1, 2 or 3 insulated and 1 bare) coiled together according to their type: duplex cable consisting of one insulated and one bare conductor, triplex cable consisting of two insulated and one bare conductor or quadruple cable consisting of three insulated and one single conductor Exposed.

What is  dual cables  ?

As we showed you earlier, a duplex cable consists of two conductors separated from each other, but placed in a twisted or interlocking manner. However, this type of cable can also be found in parallel mode, without affecting its functionality.

Double cables are characterized by:

What  is  triple cable  ?

 Triplex cables  consist of two insulated conductors and one conductor that can be  AAC  ,  ACSR  , or  AAAC-6201-T81  twisted together; The phase and neutral conductors are manufactured with aluminum alloy wires wound into  the centers, respectively; The insulators are covered with a uniform layer of PE  –  Carbon Black or cross – linked polyethylene .                                (XLPE ),  also black, is resistant  to moisture  , heat,  and  sunlight; Then the  two  conductors are  twisted  together . 

 Aluminum Tertiary Cables  are used for electrical connections supported by a neutral messenger from the secondary public network running through the sector to the counter or meter panel , in public lighting circuits and as a closed secondary network . This type of connector can be used in dry and wet places as well .                                   

What is quadruple cable?

Quadruple aluminum cable is used in underground secondary distribution systems. It can be installed in sewers or buried directly in the ground.

Four strand aluminum cable consists of three insulated conductors and one conductor which can be AAC, ACSR, or AAAC-6201-T81 twisted together; The phase and neutral conductors are manufactured with aluminum alloy core wire cores, respectively. In Quadruplex cable, the insulation is covered with a uniform layer of black thermoplastic polyethylene (PE-Carbon Black) or cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), also black, resistant to moisture, heat and sunlight; After that the two conductors are twisted together.

Quadruplex cable is generally used for electrical connections supported by a bare neutral transmitter from the secondary public network running through the segment to the counter or meter panel, in public lighting circuits and as a closed secondary network. Quadruplex cable can be used in dry and wet locations.

The difference in the price of aluminum compared to copper is not in the quality, but in the recent increase in the cost of copper, which has led to increases for manufacturers and end customers. Currently, copper is becoming increasingly scarce and in demand, which leads to significant increases in its price. For this reason, aluminum is becoming a more attractive proposition for electrical manufacturers and end users.
