Marjorie Orr Psychic
Marjorie Orr was born on September 9th 1944 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Marjorie studied Philosophy and English at Glasgow University, before embarking as a successful career as a journalist and television producer. She began her career on the Glasgow Herald newspaper, before moving on to STV and BBC Scotland.
During her TV career, Marjorie covered news, current affairs, movies and the arts. She became the first woman in the UK to edit a daily news magazine programme, and she won the Scottish RIC award for Four Seasons, a documentary she produced that featured four films on birth, marriage, retirement and death. She also produced a host of other successful documentaries, which included The Sean Connery Profile, Return to St Kilda and the Politics of Poverty.
It was Marjorie’s career in documentary making that led her to her interest in astrology. She was organising a BBC series about the paranormal called ‘Is Anybody There?’, which prompted her to have her birth chart read. During the reading, Marjorie said that the astrologer “shook my belief in a rational universe and set me off on a learning curve which is still ongoing.” As a non-believer with a scientific background, Marjorie was an unusual convert to astrology, but after her birth chart experience, she was hooked.
In the early 1980s, Marjorie gave up her lucrative TV career in order to concentrate on astrology full-time. She also went on to do some Jungian Psychotherapy training, which extended her understanding of the ways in which people relate to themselves and others.
In the last twenty years, Marjorie has become a well-known psychic, earning a strong reputation for her accurate predictions. She has written for the Sunday Times, Harpers and Queen, Teletext, Woman, Woman’s Journal, the Express, News of the World, Elle, Cosmopolitan, and others, as well as racking up TV and radio appearances on the BBC, the World Service, Sky News, GMTV, Discovery Channel, Kilroy, TVAM, Granada Living and more. She also boasts an eclectic list of personal clients, which include high-profile city traders, business executives, politicians, and some famous names from show business and the arts.
As an ex-current affairs journalist, Marjorie is particularly interested in political astrology and looking at the horoscopes of important world leaders and countries. Because of this, she is happy to update her fans on how the planets are currently affecting nations around the world and their leaders.
Marjorie Orr is such a popular astrologer that her columns are syndicated in countries as far and wide as India, Eire, Africa, the Middle and Far East, Australia and South Africa. She is also a sought-after author who has published three best-selling books, Star Quality and the Lovers Guide, which are both published by HarperCollins, as well as the Astrological History of the World, which was published by Chrysalis in the summer of 2002.
In addition to her written work, Marjorie now offers a number of her psychic services via the phone. You’ll be able to call her for up-to-the-minute forecasts on love, life, health, and family, as well as horoscopes for the day, month, and year ahead.
