The most vulnerable and sensitive area of ​​wiring is the contact. After all, if the contact is poor, it will heat up the wires and ignite them. As a result – electrical wiring failure or fire. It is the connector that connects the cable through which electrical current passes.

WAGO Terminal Blocks are reliable wiring harness connectors. In their technology, screw connection is not used. Contact occurs by spring force. Based on the spring used, the stations are divided into the following types:

Note:  Not all trolley terminal blocks can connect aluminum wires. If the wire contacts are coated with Al-plus paste, they can be connected to similar devices.

Used for quick wiring installation. A popular model of this type is WAGO 773. There are two options: without paste for merging copper wires and bonding aluminum wires or a mixture of aluminum and copper. The wires are connected using clamping mechanisms, which are completely invisible from the outside. As a result, the conductive core cannot be removed.

Cage clips clamps

It does not require lugs to be used on multicore cable. Terminal blocks are used to connect chandeliers and in junction boxes. Its main advantage is simplicity and reliability of installation.

Popular models of this type: WAGO 222 and 224 (reusable). Connect copper wires with a cross section from 0.08 to 35 mm2. Self-sealing terminals of the 222 series are manufactured with pasteless arm clamps and are used for single wire connection and several cores with Cross section up to 4 mm2 and voltage up to 380 V. If it is necessary to connect aluminum wires, the putty must be purchased separately.

WAGO 221 terminal blocks are analogues of the 222 series (pictured below). These are universal spring terminal blocks with arms suitable for any copper conductors. The operating conditions of the 221 trolley connector are significantly simplified, as its dimensions are compact. Designed for voltages up to 450V. It is used for wires with a cross section of 0.14-4 mm2 and for rings 0.14-4 mm2.

Terminal Blocks 224 – Single-core connectors. Allows you to quickly connect lighting fixtures without the use of tools.

FIT-CLAMP CLAMPS

The use of these clips allows the connection to be made without separating it from the insulation. They use click communication. This is one of WAGO’s new developments and significantly speeds up and simplifies installation. Representatives of this type of terminal blocks include trolleys 280 and 285, as well as 862, designed for installation on a DIN rail.
