3- In all cases, the court shall oblige the convict to refund double the value of the seized electric current consumption, and the criminal case shall lapse if a settlement is reached before the criminal case is referred to trial.
Article No. 71 of the Electricity Law No. 87 of 2025 stipulates that whoever unlawfully seizes the electric current shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of no less than 6 months and a fine of no less than 10 thousand pounds and not more than 100 thousand pounds, or one of these two penalties.
