Components of a simple electrical circuit
An electrical circuit is a path that transmits electric current. The electrical circuit contains an element that generates energy for charged objects that express the current.
Such as a generator, or a battery can be used, as well as devices that need current, such as electric motors and lamps. The electrical circuit works based on two basic laws:
The first is Ohm’s law, and the second is Kirchhoff’s law. All things that surround a person and can be connected to electricity are considered an electrical circuit.
Likewise, things that contain batteries, and therefore it can be said that an electrical circuit is a group of electrical elements that communicate with each other.
Through an electrical loop with a power source, which allows electric current to pass through it, and its great use is considered one of the reasons for great human progress.

To represent an electrical circuit and its components:
- Wire
- A switch or an electrical switch
- Electric lamp
- Source: Battery or generator
the battery
The battery is the electrical generator in the circuit.
It contains two poles, one positive and the other negative.
The battery in the electrical circuit drives the electric current through the wires.
When representing the circuit with drawing and symbols;
The battery is represented by two lines leaving the length,
The first is long and has a positive sign.
The second is short and has a negative sign.
the Flashlight
The lamp is the part that receives the electric current in the circuit.
It lights up and glows when the electrical circuit is completely closed.
When drawing the circuit with symbols, the battery is given a circle symbol containing an x sign.
Electrical wires
Wires are used to conduct electrical current,
Which are usually made of materials that conduct electricity,
Such as copper and aluminum inside,
From the outside, it is covered with electrical insulating materials.
It is usually a plastic material,
The materials that conduct electric current are considered materials with little or weak resistance.
Therefore, it allows electrical current to pass through it with ease.
It is used to connect parts of an electrical circuit to each other.
It is considered the only means through which current passes from the battery to the rest of the parts of the electrical circuit, and when the circuit is represented by a drawing, it is given the symbol of a straight line.
the key
The switch is considered one of the secondary components in the electrical circuit.
It is usually used to open and close a circuit; That is, it is used to control the electrical circuit.
When the circuit is represented with symbols, it is given the symbol of an upward slash.
Types of electric drill
An electrical circuit in parallel
An electrical circuit that is connected in parallel has many paths through which electric current flows from one point to another.
All its elements are connected to a group of common electrical points, and electrical sources are usually connected,
The resistors are on two sets of points that share the electric current, and the electric current in a circuit that is connected in parallel flows in many directions.
Either horizontally or vertically, and all elements in this type have the same electrical potential and identical poles.
Circuits that are connected in parallel consist of many branches, which allows the electric current to be distributed.
As for the power voltage, or potential difference, it is equal for all components of the circuit even though the electrical currents differ.
Series electrical circuit
An electrical circuit that is connected in series has one path through which the electric current flows, and the amount of electricity in all components of the circuit is considered equal.
That is, the intensity of the current is equal in all parts of the circuit, and as for the resistance to the electric current, it is equal to the sum of all the individual resistances.
Therefore, it can be said that the more individual resistors in the circuit that are connected in series, the more difficult it is for the electrons to flow.
