Explosion Proof LED Outlet Lighting

The XPEX from Rig-A-Lite is a patented product that is designed to be the only available LED exit sign/light approved for environments requiring explosion protection. LED light source makes it the most energy efficient choice for emergency and exit lighting. The maintenance-free, saltwater XPEX is approved for marine and outdoor use.

The XPEX is also the only exit sign/light that has a built-in battery, eliminating the need for a specific circuit and any related labor and material costs. Its battery provides three hours of illumination, exceeding NEC specifications and unlike self-illuminating vents, the sign is visible through smoke.

Options

The Guardian circuit constantly monitors the operating status of the battery charging circuit and the battery supply voltage
The purpose of this option is to provide visual cues in response to a logout battery and/or battery charger error
If a malfunction is detected, the visible status will occur immediately via the CHARGER LED and/or the Battery Fault LED.
The LEDs will remain lit until the error is corrected.

The AC power failure circuit monitors the AC current flow into the unit and triggers the emergency lighting system as soon as there is a low AC power
The drop in voltage will shut down many fixtures resulting in a loss of normal light even though there will not be a complete power outage

When the battery terminal voltage drops below the preset levels, the low voltage circuit disconnects the emergency lighting load

Separation remains in effect until normal power is restored, which prevents deep battery discharge and improves battery life
The disconnect will also automatically reconnect the load circuit once the battery voltage returns to the normal value after charging
The easily located test button allows manual verification of proper operation of the transmission circuit and emergency operation.
