Components of the internal timer

  2. “Normally Open” NO:  The points are in their normal state open and closed when the specified delay period ends.
  3. Common point:  It is the common point, as it is directly connected to the electric current.

When it is connected to the electric current, the timer starts, and after that the counting that has been set begins, and when the counting is completed, the timer contact points change, and when the current is disconnected at any moment, it works on the counting from the beginning.

Flasher Timer

When the timer is connected to the electric current, it starts counting according to the specified value, and after completing the counting, the contact points change as the counting continues to return to the normal state again, and so on until the electric current is disconnected from it.

  • Relays have an inverse time delay, and in this type, the specified period of time between the moment of operation of the relay and the moment of operation of the contact points of the breaker is inversely proportional to the value of the fault current or any other value that causes the relay to operate.
